Households are also banned from mixing indoors or in private gardens, unless in a support bubble. 

Currently, there is a £200 fine for each breach which doubles on every offence up to a maximum of £6,400.

You could face a fine of £4,000 if you put someone else' life in danger. 

You may also be fined £1,000 if you have tested positive and given false information about your close contacts to NHS test and Trace.

Organisers of large gatherings face a £10,000 fine.

New Lockdown Rules for England

Here are the new lockdown rules and main restrictions from today until the 2nd of December 2020.

• Schools, Universities, public toilets, dentists, opticians and other essential businesses remain open
• Pupils and teachers in all of England's secondary schools and colleges are now required to wear face coverings in communal areas and corridors
• Pubs and restaurants are closed, but takeaways are allowed
• Non essential shops, leisure and entertainment venues must close
• No Households mixing indoors or outdoors, unless in your support bubble
• Stay at home - Only leave for specific reasons including work, groceries and education
• Work from home if you are a non essential worker
• Gyms are closed. However, outdoor recreation is encouraged, you can meet one person outside your household 
• Children can move between the homes of their parents if they are separated or divorced.
• Hotels, hostels and other accommodation should only remain open for those who have to travel for work. Avoid non-essential travel. 
• Shoppers will be able to click and collect from specific retailers
